About the Artwork:
Gitty Fuchs’ original piece ’Abstract Menorah’ depicts the Judaica menorah candelabra. Inspired by abstract expressionism and fauvism, Fuchs created the piece to be seen as a menorah, while simultaneously upon looking further, it can be seen as an abstract illustration of Kriyat Yam Suf. The artist uses gold leaf and 6 layers of paint to create her recognizable, richly textured and layered work.
