About the Artwork:
Joel Amit’s ‘Butterflies In the Dark’ portrays a wave of butterflies made of varying complimentary metals in gold, rose gold and pewter. Composed against a black background, they can be seen as using each other as a guide forward in the darkness. Some butterflies rise afloat, while a few drift in a small pack below. This beautiful thought-provoking piece is made of laser-cut metal pieces mounted on a lacquered wood board.
