Nouna’s ‘Lev’ sculpture connects the letters making up the Hebrew word ‘Lev’ heart in a unique, upward and interconnected shape. The signature style and merging of letters is Nouna’s original patented design. Crafted from resin, the dynamic sculpture is fluid and clean, its flamelike form blending elegance and intensity.
Nouna explores themes of love in various pieces of her work. In ‘Lev’, using bright color and interesting shapes to invite meaning the viewer can interpret in many ways. One of these ways can be by inspecting the meaning behind the two Hebrew letters that compose the word ‘Lev’. They are: ‘Bet’ and ‘Lamed’. The first holy letter in the Torah is Bet (Bereishit), and the last letter is ‘Lamed’ (Yisrael), together forming Lev / Love.
