About the Artwork:

Inspired by his grandchildren running barefoot, fully engaged in the enjoyment of life Gadi constructed the Balloon girl collection, intending to bring the viewer back into a childlike world in which dreams have no limits and joy is boundless. ‘Playful Delight’ highlights the way children’s focus surrounds play, allowing them to experience pure joy in its fullness. Our adult selves wistfully watch and yearn for what our children have. Fraiman captivates the innocence of a child absorbed in their own world, reminding the audience to try and bring a little more focus to these moments of playful delights. When the viewer sees their own adult reflection in the shiny stainless-steel bubbles and base, alongside the brightness of the pink young girl, they are invited to channel the purity of youthful emotions and virtues.
