About the Artwork:
In her original work ‘Spirit of Jerusalem’ Gitty Fuchs depicts a landscape merging various sites within the holy Jerusalem into one, including the Jaffa gates, arches of the old city, holy of holies and the western wall. The result is a magnificent and unique illustration of the mystical beautiful Jerusalem. Through subtle color, layered texture and movement she highlights the landscape’s timeless beauty, oneness and depth. The artist uses oil and acrylic paint to build 6 layers of beautiful texture to create this layered work, finishing it off with gold leaf.
