About the Artwork:
In her original work, ‘Abstract Arches’ Gitty Fuchs depicts a unique landscape merging various holy sites and sights of Jerusalem into one beautiful scene, encapsulating the mystery and allure of the famous city, held dear by so many. Using a palette knife to build texture, Fuchs blends images of the Jaffa gates, arches of the old city and the Temple’s holy of holies with silhouettes of people walking and in prayer from a distance. Through subtle color and layered texture Fuchs highlights the city’s timeless beauty, oneness and depth. The result is a beautifully layered illustration of the mystical Jerusalem, infusing any room with its unique energy. The artist uses oil and acrylic paint to build 6 layers of beautiful texture to create this layered work, finishing it off with gold leaf.
