About the Artwork:
‘Color of Your Skin’ is a unique artwork that showcases Amit’s pixelated composition style. The piece is composed of many small multicolored butterflies, which form the relaxed expression of a woman’s face. The work is made of laser-cut metal pieces mounted on a lacquered wood board. Joel finds the ironic process of forming steel, a heavy and cold material, into such delicate forms of life such as the butterflies in ‘Color of Your Skin’ to be an essential dimension to his work.
