About the Artwork:
In her original artwork, ‘Kriyat Yamsuf’, Gitty Fuchs depicts the Jews crossing the Red Sea, upon leaving Egypt as slaves into freedom as a nation. The classic biblical story relates the birth of the Jewish nation and is extremely significant in Judaism. Remembering and retelling the event itself is an integral part of Jewish faith, religion and heritage. The artist illustrates this wonderfully using 6 layers of acrylic and oil paint to build beautiful texture, finishing the magnificent, original work with gold leaf.
