In her original artwork, ‘Kriyat Yamsuf’, Gitty Fuchs depicts the Jews crossing the Red Sea, upon leaving Egypt as slaves into freedom as a nation. The classic biblical story relates the birth of the Jewish nation and is extremely significant. Remembering and retelling the event itself is an integral part of Jewish faith, religion and heritage. The artist beautifully illustrates this, using 6 layers of acrylic and oil paint in this magnificent, highly textured work, finished with gold leaf.
