About the Artwork:
In her original work, “Spirit of Jerusalem’ Gitty Fuchs depicts a large landscape merging various holy and acclaimed cites of Jerusalem into one magnificent scene including the Jaffa gates, arches of the old city, holy of holies and the western wall. The result is a unique illustration of the mystical Jerusalem in the form of a Tryptic (3 canvases).
Through subtle color, layered texture and contrast Fuchs highlights the landscape’s timeless beauty, oneness and depth. The artist uses oil and acrylic paint to build 6 layers of beautiful texture to create this layered work, finishing it off with gold leaf.
